The 2024 Latin American Music Awards is the first-ever bilingual edition of the show to be broadcast on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión and ViX. Becky G is co-hosting the ceremony, themed 'We Speak Música, with Thalia, Carlos Ponce and Alejandra Espinoza inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Mexican singer Peso Pluma and Colombian hitmaker Feid top the nominations with 12 nods each, as per Billboard. Ahead of the awards show, celebrities walked the red carpet at the MGM Grand resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The 2024 Latin American Music Awards is the ninth iteration of the ceremony celebrating the latest and greatest in Latin American music. Nominations were announced on March 18, with Peso Pluma and Feid taking the lead with 12 nominations each. Shakira and Karol G will battle it out in several of the top categories, including Artist Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Album Of The Year. A handful of special honors and tributes will be given to Banda MS, Ricardo Montaner, and Yandel, according to Billboard. Banda MS, a Mexican music group founded by brothers Sergio and Alberto Lizárraga, and Argentine-born Venezuelan singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner will receive the Latin AMA legacy award. Yandel, a beloved Puerto Rican reggaeton artist, is this year's Latin AMA pioneer award recipient.
